TENNESSEE MAN

“Tennessee” comes from the Cherokee Native American “Tana-see.” This means “The Meeting Place.” The state capital is Nashville, and its largest city is Memphis. A place where Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel met a good idea and opened the first distillery in the United States. This state is home to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the largest national park in the eastern United States.
